on my way home为什么不加to

因为home本身可做副词，如to or at one's home，home已经有这个介词意义的表达了，所以不需要再加to了，如i'm on the way there，there是副词，所以前面也不加to。如果是school或者是mall的话，还是需要用加to的。

1.I was going to do it on my way home.

我将要在我的回家的路上做它。

2.I like to read China Daily on my way home.

我喜好在回家的途中浏览《中国日报》。

3.Nothing much. I'm just on my way home.

没什么事。我只不过是在回家的路上而已。

4.On my way home, I met a group of students.

我在回家的路上遇见了一群学生。

5.What are you doing there? I'm on my way home.

你在那干吗？我在回家的路上。
