衢州职业技术学院是2002年经浙江省人民政府批准成立的从事高等职业教育的公办全日制高等学校，主要培养面向生产、建设、管理、服务第一线的技术技能人才。

学校坐落在国家历史文化名城——浙江省衢州市，占地面积387亩，建筑面积15.6万平方米。现有全日制在校学生6200余人，成人学历教育学生2000余人。教学仪器设备总值5700余万元，馆藏图书52.9万册、专业期刊700余种，建有清华同方学术期刊等封闭镜像站（数据库）7个。

学校设有医学院、艺术设计学院、经济管理学院、信息工程学院、机电工程学院、继续教育学院等6个二级学院。开设机械制造与自动化、电气自动化、护理、艺术设计、会计等21个专业，形成了装备制造、电子信息、医药卫生、艺术设计、财经管理等5个专业群协调发展的格局。拥有中央财政支持建设的专业3个，省重点专业1个，省优势专业1个，省特色专业3个。建成省级精品课程5门，主持省级教改项目22项，获批专利104项，主编教育部规划教材、省级重点教材13部。

学校拥有一支适应现代高等职业教育发展要求的师资队伍。现有教职工382人，其中专任教师262人，教授、副教授和高级工程师94人，硕（博）士学位以上教师162人，“双师素质”教师193人，浙江省“151”人才2人，市“115”人才39人，省级教学名师、教坛新秀6人，省级专业带头人6人。

学校十分重视对学生的技能培养。建有护理、艺术设计、电工电子、软件应用技术、电气工程、汽车技术、机械工程、财经等集教学、培训、技能鉴定与技术服务为一体的校内实训基地，并积极推进校内生产性实训基地建设，其中机械制造与自动化实训基地为中央财政支持建设的基地，护理实训基地为省级示范性实训基地。同时，还主动与学校、医院、公司等企事业单位合作，先后建立了170多个校外实训基地。

学校以适应现代化建设需要和满足社会需求为导向，在人才培养过程中着力体现思想道德、职业素养、职业技能和职业精神的辩证统一。积极鼓励学生参加高水平学科（技能）竞赛。近年来，学生在省级以上学科（技能）竞赛中获奖281项。根据“建立人才成长立交桥”的政策和规定，毕业生经本人申请，考试成绩合格可进入普通本科院校学习。毕业生具有较好的开拓创新精神，专业基础扎实，就业适应性强。近几年学生就业率稳中有升，98%以上的毕业生实现当年就业，且就业层次逐年提高，被评为浙江省普通高校毕业生就业工作优秀单位。学校还先后荣获浙江省文明单位、浙江省治安安全示范单位、浙江省卫生先进单位和浙江省节约型公共机构示范单位等荣誉称号。

学校积极开展对外教育合作与交流。与美国明尼苏达州立东南科技学院、台湾树德科技大学等国（境）外高校建立了友好合作关系，开展教师互派、交流生专业研修等活动，学校办学国际化、现代化水平不断提升。

Introduction to Quzhou College of Technology

Approved by Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, Quzhou College of Technology (QZCT) was established in 2002. It is a publicly funded vocational college for full-time education, mainly focusing on the cultivation of skilled talents with high standards and qualifications on the front line of production, construction, management and services as well.

The college is located in the historically and culturally renowned city of Quzhou in Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of 26 hectares, with a total floor space of 156,000 square meters. At present, there are 6,200 full-time students and over 2,000 part-time students in various programs. All the equipment for teaching and research is worth RMB 57 million. The library has a total collection of 529,000 books, 700 kinds of professional journals, and 7 academic databases.

Within QZCT, there are 6 faculties: The Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Electronics and Information Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, and the School of Further Education. The faculties cater to 21 programs including Machinery Manufacturing, Electronics & Information Engineering, Nursing, Art & Design, Applied English, and Accounting, among which 3 programs are supported by the fund from central government, 4 programs are key programs or distinctive programs of Zhejiang Province. The college has developed 5 courses into first-class courses of Zhejiang Province, completed 22 provincial teaching reform projects, and obtained 104 patents.

The college has a staff of 382 that meets the demands of modern vocational education. The size of the faculty is 262, of which, 94 are professors or associate professors, 162 have master’s degree or above, 194 hold occupational skills certificates besides teaching certificate, 14 are recruited into provincial talent support programs, and 39 into municipal talent support programs.

Great emphasis has been put on the development of students’ practical skills. We have established on-campus practical training bases which integrate teaching, training, occupational skill testing for the areas of Nursing, Art & Design, Electrical & Electronic Technology, Software Application Technology, Automotive Technology, Machinery Engineering, and Finance & Economics. Among the on-campus practical training bases the Practical Training Base for Nursing Majors is the Demonstrative Practical Training Base of Zhejiang Province. The college takes the initiative to cooperate with schools, hospitals, companies and government bodies and has set up more than 170 off-campus practical training bases.

Endeavored to meet the needs of modernization and guided by the demands of society, the college makes great efforts to cultivate the professionalism, vocational competencies and overall qualities of the students. Effective measures are taken to encourage the students to participate in high level occupational skills competition and the students have won 281 awards in competitions above provincial level. According to Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, excellent graduates of our college could further their study in undergraduate universities if they pass the provincial admission examination. The college has been praised by Department of Education of Zhejiang Province for its excellent work on the promotion of graduates’ employment. In the past several years, more than 98 percent of the graduates have been employed upon graduation and highly praised for their professionalism, pioneering spirits and good adaptability. The college has also been named Zhejiang Provincial Civilized Unit and it has also received honorary tiles at provincial level for its remarkable work on campus safety, hygiene, and energy saving.

Aiming to broaden its international outreach, the college actively engages in educational cooperation and exchange with institutions of higher learning from other regions and nations. It has established friendly cooperative relations with Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical in U.S.A. and Shu-Te University in Taiwan and has organized rounds of student and faculty exchanges.
