One way to get around in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai is to take a taxi, but it’s too expensive. Many people like to go out by subway or light rail. They are very fast and convenient. Now they are becoming more and more popular. Buses are cheap, but they are very slow in rush hours.

在像北京和上海这样的大城市中坐出租车是到处走走的一种方式，但是太贵了。许多人都喜欢乘地铁或轻轨。地铁和轻轨是非常快和方便的。而且现在他们也变得越来越受欢迎。公共汽车是便宜的，但是在高峰期走得很慢。

If you want to see a city well, you can go out by bike. However, most people prefer to get around in a downtown area on foot, because it’s good for health.

With more and more cars coming into our families, we are happy that it has greatly improved our life. But unluckily, it has also brought many problems, such as heavy traffic and traffic accidents。

Traffic safety is everybody's business. We must obey the rules. For example, we must walk on walk side, when we cross zebra – crossing, stop and look right and left, then go across fast. Don’t play football on the road .we can tell our parents not to drink before they drive, not to run through red lights, not to talk and laugh while driving etc。

We can say cars are coming into our life, but only when everybody thinks traffic safety is everybody's business can we be safe driving on roads and walking on sidewalks.

In a modern city, there are many means of transportation, such as subway, taxi, bus and so on.But my favorite means of transportation is by bike.

First, riding a bike is good for keeping healthy. I spend one hour riding a bike to my office on my working day, and I think it is a good form of physical exercise.

Secondly, it is money-saving. Recently, the private car drivers always complain the

price of gas is higher and higher, but if you ride a bike, it will cost you nothing.

Thirdly, it is beneficial for protecting the environment, so it is a "green" form of

transportation.

Therefore, although it has some disadvantages, I like riding a bike best.

When one crosses the street, one should take the crosswalk, underground passage or pedestrian overpass. If one is riding a bike or motorcycle, keep riding on the right side of the road. When the red light is on, please stop and wait until the green light is on. Give a hand signal if one wants to turn or stop. It is important to let the children know that playing on the road is very dangerous. Helping the aged and children cross the road is always a kind deed.If everyone obeys the traffic rules, it will be much safer to walk or ride on the road.
