1、too...to...

too...to..是一个表示否定含义的结构，相当于so...that...not

例句

In the farmyards,the chickens and even the pigs were too nervous to eat.

农家大院里的鸡，甚至是猪都紧张得不吃食。

too...to结构在下列情况下表示肯定意义：

①too后接表示主语态度、情感、心情或倾向的词时表示肯定。常见的有glad、eager、anxious、happy、pleased等。

We are too eager to know the result.

我们急于知道结果。

②too...to结构与not/never等否定词连用时表示肯定。

Physics isn't too difficult to learn.

物理并非难得学不会。

③在too...to结构中,too前有only/just/all/but等词也表示肯定。

I'm only too glad to meet you here.

我非常高兴在这里遇到你.。

④与cannot连用

You cannot be too careful to cross the street.

2、现在分词作伴随状语

考点

当句子的主语和动词构成逻辑上的主动关系，且动作正在进行时，常用现在分词。

例句

Mice ran out of the fields looking for places to hide.

老鼠从田地里跑出来找地方藏身。

3、It seems as if... 看起来似乎......

seem还可以用在 It seems/seemed that...结构

例句

4、everywhere引导的地点状语从句

everywhere与wherever同义，引导的地点状语从句置于主句之前，大都含有条件或让步的意思。

例句

Everywhere they looked nearly everything was destroyed.

人们无论朝哪里看，一切似乎都被毁了。

5、all...not构成的部分否定

考点

all...not=not all... 表示“并不都......”，表示部分否定。对应的全部否定是None...。

例句

All hope was not lost.
