My View on Online Education.

Being online is no longer something new or fresh in our life. To some extent, it has become part of our daily life. We can do a lot of things online, such as searching for information and communicating with friends far away. But recently another helpful online activity has become very "in". That is online education.

Why could online education be so popular within such a short period of time? Among other reasons, the quick development of the Internet should be an essential one, which makes all our dreams of attending class in the distance possible. Another underlying reason is the quick development of both society and technology. Today, modern science and technology is developing with fantastic speed. To catch up with this development we all feel an urgent and strong desire to study. However, due to the great pace of modern society, many people are too busy to study full time at school. Online education just comes to their aid.

Personally, I appreciate this new form of education. It's indeed a helpful complement to the traditional educational means. It can provide different learners with more flexible and versatile ways of learning. Best of all, with online education, we can stick to our jobs and at the same time study and absorb the latest knowledge.

Need A Master Degree or Not

Nowadays, most people want to enter graduate school. In fact, this desire has grown considerably in the past few years. Students struggle to pass the graduate school entrance exam, to survive the pro-gram, and find a job at the end of it. They read many exam preparation books. They may also attend special "exam preparation" seminars and courses. There are some reasons for such phenomenon.

First is the general perception that a graduate school diploma, a master's degree, is needed for getting a better job. Second is that some students might not be sure what they want to do, and a few more years inside the courtyards of academic seems desirable.

In my opinion, this is not reasonable. I don't deny that a few passed and went on, but the majority failed and finally wiped away their valuable times. So we don't have to study for the mas-ter degree. Never forget the old saying: every road leads to Rome!

Nowadays a growing number of people, especiallythe 20s or 30s, tend to stay indoors for most of their spare time, especially on holidays. Somespend the majority of the time online chatting, blogging, shopping, dating or playing computergames. Some sit with their eyes glued to the television screen, day and night.

People's opinions vary when it comes to this way of killing time. A great number of peoplemaintain that staying indoors is cheap, comfortable, and most importantly, very safe. Others,however, frown upon staying indoors for too long. They are worried that lack of physicalexercise and face-to-face communication with others will do harm to people's body and mind.

Personally, I don't think staying indoors for most of the day should be advocated. Instead,people in all ages, their physical conditions permitting, should be encouraged to spend moretime outdoors. The brilliant sunshine, the pleasant green space, the interactions with otherpeople, etc. are all good for people's health, both physically and psychologically.

Today is the first day of te new term. I got up early and checked my wintcr vacation homework before going to sclool.

While I was busy clearing up the books, Father came in with a glass of milk in his hand, "Drink it up, boy ."Father said to me gently.

I was in such a hurry that Ipaid no attention whether the milk was hot or not. I drank a mouthful and cried with the sound of the broken glass. "What's the matter.?" Father asked anxiously. "You didn't tell me the milk was so hot. I got a blister through being scalded." "Oh, it's my fault. Are you Ok?" Father turned to the kitchen after he was certain there was nothing serious with me, "There is some more in the kitchen. I'll bring it for you. Wait for me. I'II be back soon."

I was so angry with Father that I said"No. I won't be scalded again." Then I put all I wanted into my bag and wanted to go to school without breakfast. But I was astonished at what I saw when I turned around. Father was cooling the milk by pouring it from one glass to the other again and again. "Don't worry. It'll be Ok soon. It's bad for your health without breakfast. "Father said with a smile of apology. Tears came into my eyes. How rude I was just now! How reGREtful I was! I took the glass from my father's hand and drank it up without a stop.

First, smoking is bad for our health. As we start smoking, it's so difficult to give up, because the tobacco contains a drug called nicotine, which can get us into the habit of smoking. When we go without nicotine, our bodies will feel sick.

Second, smoking is so dangerous. When we smoke in bed, we may kill ourselves as well as burn down our houses, for burning cigarette ends may cause a big fire. And if we threw the cigarette ends anywhere, it would also cause a fire disaster.

第二，吸烟是危险的。我们在床上吸烟的时候，我们可能会导致自杀或者烧毁房子，杀死自己，因为燃烧的烟头可能引起火灾。如果我们把烟头丢在任何地方都有可能会引起火灾。

Furthermore, once we smoke in public, we may make other people feel uncomfortable as well.

此外，如果我们在公共场所吸烟，我们可能会让其他人感到不舒服。

Pressure is a serious problem in today's world. Students in our class are under too much pressure. Some students can't get on well with their classmates, while others may worry about their exams.

I'm always under pressure, too. My parents want me to be the top student in class. So they send me to all kinds of after-classes at weekends. Last Monday evening, I had a talk with my mother.
