Dear Sir：

The reason why I want to go Singapore is I like to learn some differentculture and I can meet a lot people from all around the world, that way I canmake more friends. I like the weather in Singapore also. I will go back tochina, the reason is very simple, because I am a Chinese I will never forgot mycountry. Be honestly, I will pick Tsinghua University, because to go to TsinghuaUniversity is one of the biggest dreams in my life and Tsinghua University isthe best University in my country.

If I like literature, I probably will like comedies more, beacuse I am anoptimism and I want to make reader happy when they ready my essay. I want to besuccess in every single class in the university, when I graduate me want to be abusiness administration.

I like to read the novel in my spare time.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen,I’m Jiang Lin from Shandong Province.It'smy pleasure to be here in front of you to introduce myself.I’m now studying inGrade 3 in No.1 middle school of my hometown and I'll finish my study here thissummer.

About my character, I can’t describe it well, but generally speaking ,I ama hard_working student especially when I do the things I am interested in. And Iam optimistic and confident. Sometimes I prefer to stay alone, reading,listening to music, but I am not lonely, In my spare time,I often go shoppingwith my friends,surf on the Internet and do some sports,such as running,tabletennis and roller_skating. I even got the 4th place in the 1500-meter race in myschool sports meeting,which was a very glorious memory.But now since I’m facedwith National College Entrance E_amination,I can’t spend too much time doingsports.But this busy life has also taught me how to balance between study andentertainment.Also I love English very much.I often write compositions toimprove my witten ability, but I know my english is not good enough,I still needto make an effort.

General Introduction

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao TongUniversity, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, Iam writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology(NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. Duringthe following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished amongthe whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, Igot the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admissiontest.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5%in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that isgiven to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the AcerScholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is theultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university.Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor ofE_cellent Graduation Thesis.

Research e_perience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began tonarrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL andMatlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. Itis now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilleda sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. Thiswas my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory ande_perience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future researchinterests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research(especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybridsystem performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

Hello everyone. My name is .... I am a student of Grade eight . I am anoutgoing , lovely girl and I am so welcomed by my friends and my classmates.

I have a best friend, _iao hai. She is very interesting and lovely too. Sheoften tells funny stories and always make me laugh. We often play together. Ilike action movies. I think they are e_citing and interesting. I often go to themovies with my friends on weekends. I can aslo play the violin and have won manyprizes in the competitions. I take violin lessons twice a week. It is a littlehard for me but I am very happy , because I have a dream. I want to be a greatviolinist one day.
