In my opinion, there is no need to sign the name, because there is no doubt that parents have the duty to help their children solve the problems, but some homework should be checked by the teachers, as they know how to better correct the students' mistakes, then to better improve students' ability.
So the best way to help students get improved lies in both parents and teachers' effort.
